Product features and advantages
Byk-028 is a standard defoamer for water-based emulsion systems, and it is also the starting point for defoamer product series testing. The defoaming agent is particularly recommended for high gloss emulsion systems of acrylate/polyurethane or polyurethane with a pigment volume concentration in the range of 0-25, and is easy to add.
Suggested dosage
0.1-1% adjuvant dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference only, and the optimal addition amount needs to be determined through a series of experiments.
Addition method and processing guidance
The auxiliary agent can be added at any stage of production. The dosage of defoaming agent can be divided into two additions (2/3 of the dosage is added to the abrasive, and 1/3 of the dosage is added during the paint mixing stage or after completion).
