Boingo Wireless Launches First Wi-Fi 7 Public Venue Network

At CES 2024, Boingo Wireless debuted the world’s initial Wi-Fi 7 network at the Las Vegas Monorail Boingo Station, showcasing extreme speeds surpassing 40 Gbps, low latency, and expanded capacity, elevating connectivity for diverse enterprise environments. CEO Mike Finley emphasized Boingo's pioneering role in revolutionizing Wi-Fi, enhancing reliability and security in venues like airports, hotels, and stadiums. This milestone strengthens Boingo’s wireless innovation in Las Vegas, following the establishment of the Boingo Innovation Center for 5G and Wi-Fi 7 testing, and expanding 5G networks across the Vegas Strip at Dream Las Vegas. Their Wi-Fi 7 deployment joins a series of wireless accomplishments, including pioneering commercial DAS, Passpoint, and CBRS airport networks, and inaugurating the first Wi-Fi 6 network at an airport, employing AI-driven RUCKUS R770 enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 access points. Boingo is set to host a live podcast event featuring UFC Women’s Champion Miesha Tate at the Boingo Innovation Center during CES 2024. For more details, visit boingo.com.
