Diablo 2: Resurrected is arriving this season

For the rest of the first game's fanbase, however, this might be Diablo 2 Items amazing news: gamers like me spent large amounts of time grinding Diablo II's supervisors and levels to dust looking for particular items, and of course selling them online and trading them within a game which was not really designed for that sort of thing. (One special rare item, the Stone of Jordan, was actually used as a makeshift form of money.)

Now, all that progress is theoretically yours instead of having to start from scratch, and it could even be mobile, too: the match's cross-save abilities across PC and games console imply you could even load your OG save on a Nintendo Switch.

"Diablo 2 is a very important match to Blizzard," said Diablo main Rod Fergusson. "It helped define the ARPG genre. It feels like a fantastic moment to make back this game."

Beneath the new images, which support 4K and higher refresh rates like 144 Hz, this is almost precisely the exact same Diablo 2 it's always been. You can flip back and forth to the previous images at will, and under its new 3D engine Diablo 2: Resurrected runs on the the old game's code. The sound has been remastered for Dolby 7.1, but it's still using the same recordings from the original game.

Blizzard has made a few new quality of life additions, including a shared thing stash for all your personalities to pull from and auto-looting. But Fergusson stressed that its improvements in Diablo 2: Resurrected are discretionary toggles--in case you still wish to pick up gold and loot manually, you definitely can.

Eager helldivers will be able to Cheap Diablo 2 Resurrected Items sign up for a technical alpha before launch. Blizzard told us it'll price $39.99 on PC.
