Realizing that many products were stripping her skin’s acid mantle rather than protecting it, Arredondo was inspired to create Phace Bioactive—a skincare line designed with optimal pH levels to support skin health. Launched in January on its website and later expanding to Saks.com and select Saks stores, Phace Bioactive offers a seven-product range priced between $38 and $104. The standout Illuminating Serum, a $92 vitamin C-based dark spot corrector, is formulated to firm and brighten skin.
“The concept of pH balance can be complex to explain, so I made sure our website clearly communicates it,” says Arredondo. Looking ahead, she envisions expanding beyond skincare into hair, body care, and supplements. “I take a holistic view of skincare,” she explains. “There’s so much that goes into living a balanced life.”
