Justin started Virginia Small Business Law, PLLC because he strives to be a new kind of lawyer. One that actually realizes he has customers. The mission of this firm is to help small businesses succeed. He named the firm after Virginia small businesses instead of himself because that is who the work is about. Law is a service industry but most lawyers have forgotten that. Being a lawyer is about serving others. Justin became a lawyer because he wants to help others succeed. That is why VSBL was created and that is what its daily mission is.
Justin has a wide variety of work experience. His work experience carries from the loading dock of a Tyson plant to the General Counsel’s office of Southern States. Justin gained unique experience on the interaction between the law and business during his time working for the state government. His work in economic development and regulatory analysis took him across the Commonwealth meeting with small business owners. This is where he discovered that small businesses need an ally; someone who can help navigate the seen and unseen legal requirements. He strives to help them comply with regulations and stay out of hot water. Justin has always had an interest in business, Justin has studied business, and Justin understands business. This is not something you can say about every lawyer.
