Founded in 2003 by licensed master electrician and electrical contractor Rick Gomez, RVG electric has grown to become one of the most respected and revered electrical contractors in the State of Vermont.
Rick Apprenticed in Essex Junction Vermont starting in 1980 while attending South Burlington High School and Essex Technical Center, graduating in 1982.
Rick continued his apprenticeship in New Hampshire while attending the Technical College at Manchester, earning an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electricity. Rick tested for and obtained his Journeyman’s License in 1984 and then his Masters in 1985.
He worked in the construction industry in southern NH and Massachusetts, working on residential and commercial projects and moving up through the ranks, eventually becoming a project superintendent on large construction projects for NEC, AT&T, and The Genetics Institute.
During this time, he also taught the NH Apprentice Course at the Technical College at Manchester for several years, bringing around 300 new electricians up to speed.
Rick returned to Vermont and worked in the specialized world of industrial controls from 1990 until 2003 when RVG Electrical Services was formed.
