BYK-024 is recommended as an antifoaming agent for water-based printing inks and varnishes of acrylate/polyurethane and polyurethane, and can also in water-based UV systems.

0.1-1% adjuvant dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation.

The auxiliary agent can be added at any stage of production. The dosage of defoaming agent can be divided into two additions (2/3 of the dosage is added to the abrasive, and 1/3 of the dosage is added during the paint mixing stage or after completion).
