When your Pain Medications Aren't Helping

However, in some cases, the swelling does not go down and continues to rise. In such a scenario, remember to contact your surgeon and pay him a visit to make sure you don't have any complications. It is best to keep your head elevated for two days post the surgery and stay away from strenuous activities for at least 3-4 days.
