Solution- Find out the stuck paychecks and edit some of the settings

QuickBooks allows you to create or share paychecks during the payroll. If the paychecks fail to deliver due to network connectivity issues or any other mishaps, they accumulate in the ‘Online to send’ section. Any fresh paychecks you try to send will get lined up in the delivered paychecks, and you’ll receive this error. Do as per the steps below to identify the undelivered paychecks and shuffle them-

  1. Open QuickBooks on your server computer.
  2. Go to the Edit menu and click on the Find option.
  3. Navigate to the Choose Filter section in the Advanced tab and open the Filter list.
  4. Click on Detail level and tap Summary only.
  5. Scroll down to look for Online s in the Filter list and select Online to send.
  6. Tap Find to view all the paychecks that aren’t delivered.

After the stuck paychecks are found, follow the steps given below to make some changes in their settings-

  1. Select the oldest or the first stuck paycheck and click on the Paycheck Detail option.
  2. Navigate to Earnings in the Review paycheck window and add a new earning item identical to the previous item in the list.
  3. Tap No in the Net pay locked option.
  4. Do not make any sort of changes to the net pay & tax amounts.
  5. Click Save & close.
  6. Hover over the paychecks again and click on the Paycheck Details option.
  7. Delete the earning item you recently added in earning items.
  8. Do not change the tax amounts, and click on Ok.
  9. Go to all the stuck paychecks and repeat the steps given above to remove them.
  10. Reopen QuickBooks and try to download the payroll update again.
