Paving stones for roadways have the advantage that they are relatively easy to lay and subsequently repair. This is a process that you can even do yourself. The key to success is purchasing the right quality materials and making the right calculations at the surface design stage. The strength of the roadway of the cube will depend mainly on the correctness of the “foundation” (underlying layer) and the thickness of the paving stones. Experts recommend using a 6 cm thick coating for passenger cars or a minimum of 8 cm thick for RVs, light trucks, pickups and SUVs.

Paving stones also have good consumer properties. It is resistant to abrasion and operation in difficult external conditions, and, which is important for the Moscow region, it is frost-resistant. However, it is important to remember proper care. The surface of the paving stones can be damaged, for example, due to the appearance of weed roots between the elements. • In the case of paving slabs of various sizes, a thickness of 8 cm is sufficient for passenger cars. For heavier vehicles, you will need elements of at least 12 or 16 cm.
