I hate being cold… anyone else out there agree with me? I also know it’s not very efficient to always turn the thermostat up, so that’s where I like to have a space heater handy. I recently hit up Amazon to see what’s new and found two heating options from Dreo. In this review I’ll take a look at the larger Dreo Solaris Max Fan Heather and the more compact Dreo Atom One to see what they can do, how they run, what differentiates them from each other, and if I think they’re a good option if you need a space heater.

Dreo heaters review: Solaris Max

Let’s start with the Solaris Max: This heater stands about 2-feet tall with a small 8-inch footprint, and has 1500 watts of power. It would be equally at home on the floor or a piece of furniture.

There’s a control panel on the front and it comes with a small remote control. Plus there’s a convenient carrying handle in the back.

The Atom One is only about 10-inches tall and has a 5-inch base and is definitely made for tabletop use. It too has 1500 watts of power plus a small LED display, carrying handle and remote. This version also has a removable dust filter on the back.

Each of these heaters offers three settings; high, medium and low, as well as a non-heating fan option. And each one can be set to what’s called Eco mode which will let the heater come on or off based on the ambient temperature in the room and how warm you’d like it.

Both can be set to swivel too, to spread head in a wider arc, and both have an auto shut off, and tip protection that will kill the power if it falls over, to prevent fires.

And on both of these models, the display screen will com on when you use it and go dark after one minute until you need it again, which is nice for night time use when you don’t want that glare in your bedroom.

How fast is heating time?

In my testing with both of these Dreo heaters, they warm up very quickly in about 3-4 seconds, and the heating is almost instant, which I thought was great.

Warmth cone

So how well do these heaters kick out warmth? Dreo says the cone of heat for the Solaris Max is about 10 feet, while the Atom is not declared.

There’s a control panel on the front and it comes with a small remote control. Plus there’s a convenient carrying handle in the back.
