The Fall Guys knockoff Stumble Guys is presently the most popular free iPhone game in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Kitka Games of Finland released their game Stumble Guys to a select audience in the months after the release of Fall Guys for PS4 and PC in August 2020, with a full global release scheduled for January 2021.
AppMagic, a provider of market analytics, reports that the game had a lackluster year in 2017, but that it has been exploding in popularity as of late (via MobileGamer.biz).
Stumble Guys has entered the top 10 on Google Play's charts for both the United States and the United Kingdom. The software has been downloaded 163 million times since its release and has generated $21.5 million.
The multiplayer knockout game is somewhat similar to Fall Guys, however it puts players against one another in a series of colorful obstacle courses. It also provides a wide range of customization options.
The PC version of Stumble Guys launched in October 2021, and its developer claims that 18 million people are already playing the game on a daily basis.
It was reported that 32.8 million individuals downloaded stumble guys online in June, leading to $6.6 million in user spending. Downloads peaked on June 25 with 1.5 million players getting the game that day.
Stumble Guys had its highest download volume in only four days after Fall Guys became free-to-play earlier this month. On June 21, Fall Guys debuted on the PS5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch through the Epic Games Store.
Even though the PC version is no longer for sale on Steam, all existing purchasers will continue to get updates and fixes.
In 2020, Chinese game and entertainment company Bilibili will release a mobile version of Fall Guys in the country.
