Founded in 1903, Frank Mills planted roots in Palo Alto, California. Mills had a humble beginning staring off growing primarily carnations and gladiolus in two greenhouses build by Herbert and Frank Mills located on the intersection of Palo Alto Avenue and Tasso Street in Palo Alto. The greenhouses have been unused since the 1960s and today we source our product and hard goods from local vendors in Salinas, Vallejo, San Francisco, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Watsonville, Livermore, Half Moon Bay, and Southern California. Our highly valued vendors appreciate the highest quality as much as we do and have been a large source of inspiration and support throughout the many years that our doors have been open.
Mills believes that flowers can express deeply how you feel no matter the occasion. Flowers from Mills are a meaningful way to approach the passing of a loved one, those who are grieving, or those who are in times of hardship. Through flowers we help commemorate milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, weddings, or every day endeavors. At the same time, we believe the best reason to give flowers, is no reason at all!
We at Mills Florist deeply appreciate having the opportunity to serve our community for 120 years and counting. As Mills continues to evolve with the times, we will be opening our doors more regularly for parties of 10-15 individuals to come together for a unique guided floral design class opportunity. This customized experience is open but not limited to birthday parties, corporate team bonding, girls night out, friends night out, baby showers, or any other celebrations.
