CCDC of Little Angels Schools

Our mission is to educate students for success, and to encourage kindness, respect, and integrity within a nurturing environment. Our exceptional facility helps students discover, develop and appreciate their unique talents, while achieving academic excellence by nurturing confidence, intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning. We respect individuality, welcome diversity and encourage service while preparing our young scholars for a rich a fulfilling academic career. In 1997, the mayor of Los Angeles honored Little Angels for being the oldest African American childcare center still in existence in our community. Nominated by the families in the community it serves, the Black Expo recognized Little Angels as the best childcare center in 2000. A large percentage of the children served by this agency are the sons and daughters of former Little Angels students. These parents desire for their own little angels to have the opportunity to enjoy the same experiences they fondly remember from childhood. Former students become viable members of our community, succeeding in industries such as law enforcement, entertainment, religion, and business.

 

History

Established in 1970.

 

The Community Child Development Center of The School of Little Angels is a beautifully designed facility that has been in the community of Windsor Hills for roughly 50 years. We occupy nearly an entire city block, allowing for multiple play yards and extensive classroom space for all ages. Our facility has recently been remodeled drawing on warm colors of nature that culminate into well designed, well stocked classrooms that stimulate a peak growth, learning and creativity in each child. Because we believe in incorporating the outdoor environment into each child's learning experience, our facility both indoors and out incorporate the beauty of nature through brilliant colored flowers, trees, and gardens in the environment.
