Brad Hayes
Brad Hayes is now retired and but still visits the office daily with his 4 legged side kick, Hurley. For over 45 years Brad has worked hand and hand with thousands of home buyers and sellers helping them to achieve the maximum profit and experience. Moving to Wakefield in 1972, Brad wasted no time opening Hayes Real Estate within the same year. From starting out on Acton Ridge Road with his wife, Ellen Hayes in the downstairs ‘office’ of their home, they got right to work. Brad quickly fell in love with the small town charm of Wakefield and not only immersed his business with the town but also himself. Brad was an original member/founder of the Greater Wakefield Chamber of Commerce and served as the first President of the organization. Brad served as an instrumental individual on the school board for a number of years and was part of the board who advocated for the addition of Paul School and also served as a school moderator. He was also the town moderator for 32 years and started the town cleanup. Along with all of his charitable efforts within his community, Brad also dedicated a tremendous amount of his time to the Board of REALTORS®. Brad was President of the White Mountain Board of REALTORS®, he achieved the award for REALTOR® of the year, and has held GRI, CRS, and CRB designations. Along with his awards and accolades received and earned through his accomplishments, Brad was also extremely instrumental in the early pioneering of the computerization of online multiple listing services. To make a long story short, there are hundreds of praises, facts and people that make up Brad’s story but there is still no better or higher title he has held other than “Dad” or “Papa”. Brad has worked tirelessly for his community, his friends and his business but his family has always been his number one accomplishment. While continuously growing his external world Brad was also creating a world where his family would never be far. His wife, four children, four grandchildren, and countless four-legged friends throughout the years all have been able to grow beside him and learn timeless life lessons regardless of his intention to teach them or not- they have always and still are watching very closely.
