David Cordova
Executive Chef - decorative diamonds
David Cordova has been with the Maggiano’s family since 2006. His journey began at the Maggiano’s in Boston, where he started in dish working his way up to Executive Chef - Managing Partner of the restaurant. What he loves about the brand is that each and every teammate is cared for and valued and how the Maggiano's principles are truly lived out on a daily basis. His favorite Maggiano’s dishes include the Chicken Parmesan and Our Famous Rigatoni "D".
Our story began in Chicago, Illinois in November of ’91 when Maggiano’s Little Italy opened the doors of its first location on the corners of Clark Street and Grand Avenue. The dishes were simple, authentic classics, many of them coaxed out of Italian grandmothers, mothers, and aunts whose ideas of a recipe were a pinch of this and a sprinkle of that. What happened next, as they say, is history.
The restaurant was successful from the very beginning. Eager diners sometimes waited hours to celebrate family-style over Italian–American cuisine, reminiscent of a Sunday night visit to their grandmother’s house -- or as they say in Italy, nonna’s casa! These delicious dishes paired with great service, generous portions and a warm atmosphere kept our guests and their families coming back for more.
With a successful first opening in Chicago, three more followed. It became obvious that Maggiano’s had a special relationship with its guests, and Maggiano’s was purchased by Brinker International in 1995. Since then, Maggiano’s has expanded to numerous locations across the country, all delivering that original, exceptional experience.
Maggiano’s has one main goal: to make people feel special, which starts at the core. To make our Guests feel special, our Team Members have to as well. We operate by making sure our Team feels a sense of belonging and ownership in their successes by celebrating our diversity, uniqueness and personal achievements.
We believe that having a diverse and inclusive workplace is good not only for Maggiano's Team Members and Guests, but good for the communities that we serve as well. At Maggiano's, we have an attitude of “we over me.” We aim to have fun every single day to make each other, and our Guests, feel special.
