In 1987, Tracy Allen was working for Sotheby's, Gregg Ruth, and Roberto Coin when she began her custom jewelry business. She sold only by appointment to some very high-end clientele. During this time, she began expanding her knowledge of custom design as well as her customer base. In the spring of 2003, Rick Caruso, owner of The Grove in Los Angeles, approached Tracy and suggested she open a store in his magnificent setting. Tracy Allen Fine Jewelry opened in August, 2003.
