Since New Moon opened in 2007 we have “made a place” for folks in our city to enjoy healthy, extravagant salads, sandwiches, home baked treats, organic juices, smoothies and coffee. The cafe’s cozy fireplace, extensive seating area, and Tree of Life chandelier created a unique atmosphere in which our guests could enjoy dining. Our state-of-the-art WiFi has drawn students, business people, authors, and other creative folk.
Local artists were regularly given the opportunity to showcase their work in our space.
Our catering business has been renowned in the Burlington and beyond. We’ve catered business meetings, conferences, birthday parties, showers, weddings, holiday gatherings and more.
In addition to our commitment to serving New Moon guests healthy local food, we’ve seen the need in our city and have initiated monthly Banquets for our disadvantaged neighbors as well as a Suspended Meal Program to help those experiencing food insecurity.
2020 has afforded us the opportunity to consider our future keeping in mind our values, while considering the challenges of the times. We have been moved to redeploy our resources to contribute to food insecurity issues in enhanced ways. Learn more about our partnership with ANEW Place here.
In addition to our popular catering menu, our new Chef, Brian Hofmann is developing a repertoire of Homestyle Dinners which will be available for take-out or delivery.
These commitments are in alignment with the values New Moon has always ascribed to: offering creative, healthy food using local produce to our guests its well as seeking opportunities to address food injustice issues in our community.
