The average gasoline price in Texas has fallen over 10 cents within the past week, according to GasBuddy.
GasBuddy conducted a survey of 13,114 gas stations in Texas and found that the average price has fallen 13.2 cents per gallon over the past week. That leaves the average at $2.90/g as of Monday.
“We’ve seen one of the larger weekly drops in the national average price of gasoline in some time, and what incredible timing that it comes at the beginning of the summer driving season,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Not only have gasoline prices plummeted in nearly every state in the last week, but nearly every state has also seen prices drop compared to a month ago. With the declines, Americans will spend roughly $425 million less per week on gasoline than a year ago.”
This survey also indicates that Texas gas prices are 27.2 cents lower than a month ago, and 23.3 cents lower than a year ago.
