Seattle-based startup Avante has successfully raised $10 million in seed funding, spearheaded by FUSE in Bellevue, WA, and featuring participation from Ascend Venture Capital, Highsage, and strategic angel investors. The capital injection will fuel Avante's rapid advancement in product development, engineering, and data science. Founded by former OliveAI executives Rohan D’Souza and Carly Eckert, MD, Ph.D., with Kabir Shahani, founder of Amperity, as executive chair, Avante is targeting unexplored segments in enterprise software. CEO D’Souza expresses enthusiasm for transforming the industry, citing months of engagement with stakeholders who recognize the potential to benefit millions.
FUSE's decision to fund Avante is based on the startup's precise issue assessment, technical approach, and the strong leadership of D’Souza, Shahani, and the early team. Kellan Carter, FUSE's managing director, will join Avante’s board. D’Souza emphasizes the Pacific Northwest's blend of engineering talent and entrepreneurship, aiming to quadruple the core development team in the next 12 months. Avante initiated development in fall 2023 following an extensive market analysis, recognizing a substantial opportunity for both the company and its customers.
