Become a Lifeguard

Hey everyone, I’m thinking about becoming a lifeguard, but I’m kinda lost on where to start. I know I need to get certified, but I’m not sure what’s the best route to go. Should I be looking at local classes or is there a better way to make sure I get the right training? What’s worked for you guys?

You’re gonna love it. When I first started, I had the same question, and honestly, you gotta make sure you’re picking a program that’s legit. I went with the American Lifeguard Association and it was the best move. They’ve got options to get your certificate near me or even online if that’s easier for you. Plus, their training is no joke—covers everything you need, from CPR to handling emergencies. The cool thing is, employers really respect their certs because they’re backed by all the right organizations, so you’ll be in good shape job-wise once you’ve got that under your belt. Just make sure whatever you choose is recognized and gets you prepped for real-life situations.
